Police officers in Kazakhstan will be able to participate in special housing programs
In Kazakhstan, more than 70% of police officers need housing. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurdilda Oraz at a briefing of the department, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"We are working together with banks. Now the issue is being worked out with the board of Otbasy Bank to conclude an agreement that will allow police officers to participate in special housing programs of the bank and receive housing on favorable terms," the speaker said.
According to him, more than 70% of police officers in need of housing are provided with special benefits.
"In 2014, a certain category of employees received the rights of compensation payments intended for renting housing. At the initial stage, more than 6 thousand police officers had this right - these are operational investigative and forensic units," Nurdilda Oraz said.
He noted that in 2019 the list was supplemented with posts of patrol police and district inspectors. The total number of employees at that time was more than 9 thousand people.
