The Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the plenary session approved the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Turkic Academy on the conditions and procedure for the placement of the Turkic Academy, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
As noted in the conclusion to the bill, the agreement on the establishment of the Turkic Academy was signed on August 23, 2012 in Bishkek during the 2nd summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States. The Republic of Kazakhstan ratified this agreement on October 15, 2014.
On August 28, 2014, the Turkic Academy was registered and accredited as an international organization by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the bill is to ratify the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Turkic Academy on the conditions and procedure for placement of the Turkic Academy, concluded on November 16, 2020.
“The agreement provides for the definition of the status, privileges and immunities of the Turkic Academy, its property and staff during the period of activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The ratification of the agreement will further strengthen cooperation with the member states of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States and enhance the role of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Turkic world,” the conclusion says.
