Minister of Health Azhar Giniyat on the sidelines of the government spoke about the possibility of a second wave of coronavirus in the country, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
Azhar Giniyat said that today the epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan is stable and, as a result, some quarantine restrictions have been lifted.
“The coronavirus infection has receded. 15 thousand PCR studies are carried out per day, and positive results are found in only 10-15 cases. This suggests that the incidence has decreased, the epidemiological situation is good,” she said.
Meanwhile, the head of the Ministry of Health recommends wearing masks in crowded places, given that the epidemiological situation in the world is still restless.
“In China, there is an increase in coronavirus infection associated with “omicron”. Some European countries are also on the rise. But in general, according to the World Health Organization, over the past week, the overall figure has been declining. According to WHO forecasts, a new strain may appear, or it may turn into a milder form, like a seasonal viral disease,” Azhar Giniyat concluded.
