Orphans and children left without parental care were illegally removed from the waiting list for receiving housing from the state in Petropavlovsk, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the city prosecutor's office.
Today in Petropavlovsk, 14,943 people are on the waiting list for receiving housing from the state housing fund, 5,585 of them are socially vulnerable groups of the population, 1,744 are orphans and children left without parental care.
In the course of analyzing compliance with the law, the prosecutor's office established facts of illegal removal of socially vulnerable citizens from the waiting list for housing.
“In accordance with the Law “On Housing Relations”, housing from the state housing fund is provided to citizens who are registered as needy, in the order of priority established by the lists from the moment the application is submitted with all the necessary documents.
Contrary to the above norms, the local executive body excluded orphaned children and children left without parental care previously put on the waiting list for housing under the category. 49 orphans were reinstated in the housing waiting list by prosecutorial response measures,” the supervisory authority said.
The issue is under special control of the prosecutor's office, they noted.
