Almaty Maslikhat deputy Kairat Kudaibergen arrested for a month

Deputy of the Almaty city Maslikhat Kairat Kudaibergen was arrested for a month, Kazpravda.kz reports citing Kazinform.

“By decision of the investigating court, the petition of the investigating body was satisfied. A preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 30 days is authorized until a decision is made on the qualification of the act against Kudaibergen K.,” the press service of the specialized inter-district investigative court informed.

Earlier it was reported that the deputy of the Maslikhat of Almaty Kairat Kudaibergen was detained.

According to the prosecutor's office of Almaty, Kairat Kudaibergen is suspected under article 272 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, parts 1, 2 (organization and participation in mass riots).

Kudaibergen has been a deputy of the Maslikhat of Almaty since March 2018, a well-known businessman, the founder of the Q3 holding.
