An official took bribes for issuing licenses for medical activities in Turkestan region

An official of the department of medical and pharmaceutical control of the Turkestan region is suspected of taking a bribe, Kazpravda.kz reports.

"The Anti-Corruption Service of Shymkent launched a pre-trial investigation against an official of the Department of Medical and Pharmaceutical Control of the Turkestan region on the fact of receiving on a systematic basis through intermediaries a bribe in the amount of 800 thousand tenge from representatives of private medical centers for issuing a license for medical activities," the press service of the Agency informed.

The suspects were detained in accordance with Article 128 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Other information will not be disclosed in the interests of the investigation, the press service added.
