The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the average pension in Kazakhstan for April 2022, Kazpravda.kz reports.
According to the MLSPP, as of March 1, pensions worth more than 704.9 billion tenge were paid to Kazakhstanis. In March 2022, more than 234.8 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget for pension payments, 71.4 billion tenge of the amount was paid for basic pensions, and 163.4 billion tenge for solidarity pensions.
As of April 1, 2022, the number of pensioners is more than 2 million 245.6 thousand people.
The average amount of pension payments (including the basic pension payment) as of April 1, 2022 amounted to 105,344 tenge.
Thus, the more regularly and in full the mandatory pension contributions are paid, the larger the amount of the basic pension payment upon reaching the retirement age.
In turn, the amount of pension payments by age depends on the length of service as of January 1, 1998 (at least 6 months is required) and the average monthly income received in the pre-retirement period.
