The largest chain of cinemas Kinopark and Kinoplexx will continue to operate in Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports.

General Director of Kinopark Almas Maldybaev made an official statement regarding the cancellation of the closure of cinemas from April 1. For April - May, the network will have films to show. According to Maldybaev, his speech about the closure of cinemas and repeated letters to representatives of the studios gave the first result.

“The Minister of Culture and Sports, Dauren Abaev, also provided us with great assistance, having gathered all of us and all representatives of the studios, taking from them an assurance that cinemas would be provided with films for at least the next 2-3 months.

In this regard, we declare that cinemas will work from April 1," Maldybaev said.

Earlier it was reported that the largest Kazakhstani cinema chain Kinopark announced its intention to close from April 1, which is 40% of the country's film release market.

Later it became known that it was possible to agree that Kinopark cinemas would be able to work for some time with local content and those domestic films that were successful in the domestic box office.

Also, the president of Kazakhfilm JSC named after Sh. Aimanov, director, producer Akan Satayev, said in his account that Kazakhstan would ask Hollywood to provide our country with original films with the possibility of subtitles and local dubbing.
