In the Mangistau region, to prevent car accidents involving livestock, "electric shepherds" (ultrasonic devices, electric fences) were installed on certain sections of the road, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of NC KazAvtoZhol JSC.

This device does not pose a danger to animals (current strength is about 12 volts).

The fence covers 25 km of roads of national significance in the following sections: Dossor - Kulsary - Beyneu - Sayotes-Shetpe - Zhetybay - Aktau with a length of 3 km; on sections of the Zhetybai-Zhanaozen highway with a total length of 22 km.

The company recalled that last year, in order to prevent road accidents involving livestock, 14 dummies of domestic animals (camels, horses) and 13,000 meters of fencing were installed along the roads of republican significance in the Mangistau region. Then such sections as Dossor - Kulsary - Beineu - Sayotes - Shetpe - Zhetybai - Aktau and the road Beineu - Akzhigit - the border of Uzbekistan were covered. The dummies are designed to remind drivers that animals may suddenly be on the road.

Other road sections (Man-Ata, Beki, Zharmysh) will also be covered by these works this year, KazAvtoZhol reported.
