Hungarian universities compete for Kazakh students. This was stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Republic of Kazakhstan Otto Ivan Rona during a meeting with the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Otto Ivan Rona noted that Kazakhstani students and schoolchildren are distinguished by discipline, a high level of English proficiency and good knowledge.
The ministry recalled that thanks to agreements between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary, the Hungarian side allocates 250 educational grants to Kazakhstanis annually under the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program.
“Hungarian universities are even fighting for Kazakh students. For example, just yesterday I received a letter from the rector of the University of Agricultural Sciences, who wants to increase the number of students in their university to 30 people as part of a scholarship. And such a competition for your students among our universities really exists. This is gratifying, because it shows that there is satisfaction on the part of the faculty and rectors. And we will make efforts to further develop this program,” the ambassador said.
He added that the scientific community is also interested in cooperation.
In turn, Askhat Aimagambetov noted the possibility of conducting joint scientific research, especially in the field of archeology, history and nuclear physics.
