The head of state sent a congratulatory telegram to world professional boxing champion Gennady Golovkin on his birthday, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Over the years of your amateur and professional career, you have shown yourself to be an outstanding athlete. You successfully defended the honor of our country at the highest level competitions, giving joy and vivid emotions to numerous boxing fans both in Kazakhstan and around the world. Talent and hard work helped you achieve great results in the sports field, to become an example for our youth. I am sure that you will continue to make a great contribution to the development of domestic boxing," the leader of Kazakhstan said in a telegram.
On the eve of the next fight, the President wished the famous champion new victories, well-being and good health.
