Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received credentials from ambassadors of ten states

The ceremony of presenting credentials to the President of Kazakhstan by ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of ten states was held at the Akorda residence, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Ambassadors of Cuba - Oscar Santana Leon (with residence in Nur-Sultan), Bangladesh - Kamrul Ahsan, Ambassadors of the Dominican Republic - Frank Hans Dannenberg Castellanos, Argentina - Eduardo Antonio Zuine, Peru - Juan Genaro del Campo Rodriguez, Nigeria - Yakubu Santuraki Suleiman , Laos - Vilawan Yiapohe, Chad - Adam Beshir Mahamud, Rwanda - Fidelis Ntampaka Mironko, Benina - Akambi Andre Okunlola-Biau handed over the credentials.

Congratulating the ambassadors on the official start of their diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan, the Head of State assured them of the full support and assistance from his Administration and the Kazakh Government in fulfilling their noble obligations in our country.

In his speech, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that the geopolitical and geo-economic situation in the world is the most difficult over the past three decades. According to him, the coronavirus pandemic has become a serious test for our countries. Along with this, the growing tension in international relations has a negative impact on world development. In this regard, the President of Kazakhstan expressed hope for a speedy and fair settlement of conflicts in accordance with the UN Charter.

The head of state noted that multinational and multi-confessional Kazakhstan is entering a new stage of its development.

"By ushering in a new era of democratic transformation, we have embarked on an unprecedented decentralization of state power, strengthening the system of checks and balances," he said.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that strengthening the confidence of foreign investors and trade partners in the economy of Kazakhstan is an indispensable priority.

"My government will remain committed to the openness of the national economy, the inviolability of contracts and the merciless fight against corruption. These reforms represent a turning point in the history of our people. We are choosing a course for accelerated development, not stagnation," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

The President said that in order to build a truly competitive, democratic and social state, we intend to develop mutually beneficial and friendly relations with all countries of the world.

In conclusion, the Head of State wished success to the diplomats and conveyed warm words of greeting to the leaders of their countries. He also congratulated the participants of the ceremony on the holy month of Ramadan, Easter and the Lao New Year.
