Starting from April 1, 2022, Kazakhstanis do not need tests for coronavirus when entering Russia by land. This is stated in the decision of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Russia No. 10 dated March 30, 2022, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the official website of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia.
According to the document, citizens of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (including Kazakhstan) entering Russia through land checkpoints from April 1, 2022 may not take a coronavirus test and fill out the corresponding questionnaire.
As previously reported, according to the Decree of the Russian Government dated March 29, 2022, citizens of Kazakhstan can freely enter the Russian Federation through land checkpoints without presenting additional grounds. Entry of Kazakhstanis to Russia is possible only through land checkpoints of the Russian-Kazakhstan and Russian-Mongolian borders.
