The Majilis at the plenary session approved the draft law “On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the republican budget for 2022-2024”, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
As noted in the conclusion to the bill, the amendments were developed in connection with the adjustment of the forecast of macroeconomic indicators as part of the Forecast of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022–2026. Thus, 1,793,730 million tenge is provided for the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 37,232 million tenge of which is allocated to eliminate the consequences of the January events, 441,260 million tenge to increase the combat readiness and equipment of law enforcement agencies and emergency situations, and measures to increase the income of the population - 197,106 million tenge, expenses for the development of regions - 475,776 million tenge, activities under the Food Security Plan - 238,014 million tenge.
Also, the amendments will affect the implementation of activities of program documents for 98,572 million tenge. Additional expenses will be directed to the development of local and republican roads, as well as to activities in the field of water resources. 117,026 million tenge is provided for the indexation of social payments, and 56,207 million tenge for expenses related to the change in the exchange rate of the dollar against the tenge.
Nominal GDP in 2022 is forecast at 91,543.9 billion tenge, which is 4,468.3 billion tenge higher than the approved forecast.
GDP per capita will be 10,332.4 US dollars.
The deficit of the republican budget for 2022 is set at 2,978,262,832 thousand tenge or 3.3% of the GDP estimate.
“The updated forecast for the republican budget revenues (excluding transfers) for 2022 is determined in the amount of 10,162,255,919 thousand tenge with an increase of 954,816,610 thousand tenge against the approved plan. The increase in republican budget revenues against the approved plan is forecast at 1,420,666,087 thousand tenge. Decrease in income by 465,849,477 thousand tenge,” the conclusion says.
