Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Shapkenov, answering the questions of journalists in the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed his readiness to apply to the employers of the country with a request to increase the salaries of employees, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
"I appeal to all business entities or employers, if they have the opportunity, to support their employees and raise wages depending on their economic capabilities,” Serik Shapkenov said.
The minister explained that work on wage indexation is carried out in the regions by akimats.
“Such work is always carried out by regional akimats. Each company annually indexes salaries by an average of 5 to 10%. Every year, akimats draw up a memorandum with city-forming enterprises to prevent layoffs, increase wages, and so on,” the minister said.
