In the capital areas of the Akmola region, since the beginning of active snowmelt, 600 thousand cubic meters of water have been pumped out, which is commensurate with the Aydabul reservoir. This was reported in the Akmola media center, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"Thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, local executive bodies and the military, not a single residential building was flooded in the Akmola region," said Dinara Yesenbayeva, spokeswoman for the region's Department of Emergency Situations.
Nurlan Atygaev, Head of the Department for Emergency Situations, informed that the active phase of the flood is currently taking place in the region. Work is underway to ensure the accident-free passage of flood waters.
