The department of sanitary and epidemiological control of the Turkestan region denied the information regarding the spread of anthrax, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the IDC for non-spread of COVID-19.
The Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Turkestan region reports that the audio recording regarding anthrax, distributed in recent days through the WhatsApp messenger, is not true.
“Anthrax was detected in two residents of the Tyulkubas district of the Turkestan region.
Currently, one of them is being treated in the Akmola region, one in the Turkestan region. The condition of the patients is stable and they will soon be discharged from the hospital,” the ministry said.
Referring to the words of those infected with anthrax, the department emphasized that the meat of sick animals was not purchased in the Turkestan region, it was brought from Zhambyl region.
The competent authorities are investigating where and from whom the dangerous meat was purchased.
The Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological control of the Turkestan region urged to buy meat and meat products only in verified places, as well as not to trust audio recordings distributed by unknown people.
