Police officers of the East Kazakhstan region seized over 11 kilograms of marijuana from the English course classroom, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the Regional Police Department.

During a search a cardboard box was found on the floor at the table, where there was a polyethylene bundle with a green substance of plant origin," the report says.
The examination showed that the seized substance is a narcotic drug, or rather dried marijuana, with a total weight of over 11,500 grams.
"On this fact, a pre-trial investigation has been launched under part 3 of the criminal article "Illegal manufacture, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues." The sanction of this article provides for imprisonment for a term of 10 up to 15 years," added the police.
