Vice-Minister of National Economy Timur Zhaksylykov at a government meeting spoke about measures to support SMEs that suffered during the January events in the country, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
“As a result of the January events, according to preliminary data, 1,630 small and medium-sized businesses suffered, in which the amount of damage amounted to about 38.6 billion tenge. To date, 1,491 SMEs have received payments for a total of 8.3 billion tenge,” Timur Zhaksylykov said.
According to him, prompt measures were taken to support SMEs affected by the January riots:
- compensation for property damage caused to SMEs;
- deferment of payments on loans of individuals and legal entities;
- tax and customs checks and other measures have been suspended.
