In general, according to him, since January 1, 457,000 foreigners have entered the country.

“The majority are from neighboring countries. In the first place - the citizens of Uzbekistan, in the second - the citizens of Russia. From February 24 (the beginning of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine - author's note) to April 11, 130,000 Russian citizens have entered the territory of our country. 3,481 citizens of Ukraine are in our country. According to statistics, 170 Russians and seven Ukrainians applied for our citizenship. Compared to last year and the year before, these figures are similar," the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained.

Marat Kozhaev also added that the number of those who apply for temporary residence is growing.

“Of course, the number of those who apply for temporary residence is growing compared to previous years - 350-400 people applied for temporary residence earlier, now more than a thousand - 1,055 Russian citizens have applied for temporary residence. We control all migration processes from the moment of entry,” Kozhaev explained.
