Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Dinara Tlendiyeva, head of the Otyrar Sazy orchestra, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, issues of the development of Kazakh culture were discussed.
Dinara Tlendiyeva informed the President about the activities and future plans of the Otyrar Sazy State Academic Folklore-Ethnographic Orchestra.
In particular, she spoke about the implementation of a number of promising projects, including the performance of popular works from the repertoire of the Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and other famous musicians on Kazakh folk instruments.
Special attention was paid to the upcoming 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding composer Nurgisa Tlendiev in 2025. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the need for a wide celebration of this important event.
