The Samruk-Kazyna Fund plans to allocate about 170 billion tenge in the form of dividends to the republican budget. This was announced by Nazira Nurbayeva, Managing Director for Economics and Finance of the Fund, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
Nazira Nurbayeva said that the results of 2021 are positive.
“Preliminarily, the group's revenue amounted to about 11.7 trillion tenge, which is 2.4 trillion tenge higher than the planned values. The planned revenue for 2021 was expected at the level of 9.3 trillion tenge, while in fact the figure for 2021 amounted to 8.6 trillion tenge. Net profit was formed at the level of 1 trillion 619 billion tenge, which is three times higher than the approved plan for 2021,” she added.
The main factor that influenced the improvement in financial performance is, according to her, the increase in the price of oil and petroleum products during 2021: the average oil price in 2021 was $71 per barrel against $42 in 2020.
In addition, such factors as the growth of container transit by 22%, the increase in cargo traffic in the directions China - Europe, the Far East, Central Asia, China, the Caucasus, Turkey, as well as the restoration of passenger traffic in the field of air transportation by 74 %, in the field of railway transportation by 49% due to the weakening of quarantine measures made a positive effect, as well as an increase in refined gold sales by 59% due to increased demand among end-users and an increase in electricity production by 13% and electricity transmission by 18% due to increased demand in the domestic market.
“Following the results of 2021, taking into account the introduced new principles for determining the amount of dividends paid by portfolio companies in favor of the fund, the fund plans to send about 170 billion tenge in the form of dividends to the republican budget,” Nazira Nurbayeva concluded.
