A member of the working group on amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law Yermek Abdrasulov, at a briefing at the CCS, said that Nazarbayev's status would be enshrined in the country's fundamental law, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
“As for the issues of the status of the First President, the working group came to the conclusion that this status must be determined in the Constitution itself, not to refer to the law that specifies this norm, but to the Constitution itself,” he said.
Yermek Abdrasulov also announced what kind of status of Nursultan Nazarbayev will be enshrined in the Constitution of the country.
“The First President of the Republic is the founder of independent Kazakhstan. I think this status will be of great importance, since his merits will be enshrined in the Constitution,” the speaker summed up.
