Tokayev informed on new formats of work of RK Majilis

The head of state received Chairman of the Majilis Yerlan Koshanov, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the work of the lower house of the Parliament on the legislative provisions contained in the Message "New Kazakhstan: the path of renewal and modernization."

According to the information provided to the Head of State, since the beginning of the second session, Majilismen have been working on 96 bills, 53 of them have been approved and sent to the Senate.

The Chairman of the Majilis also spoke about the new formats of the work of the lower house of the Parliament. MPs are now prioritizing increasing the openness of their work, strengthening parliamentary culture and enhancing interaction with citizens. Parliamentary hearings and other events on the most important public issues will be held more frequently.

The lower house of the Parliament will introduce new mechanisms for working with citizens' appeals, including on issues raised during the visits of deputies to the regions. Majilismen will hold regular meetings with voters in the field.
