Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The presidents discussed the prospects for the development of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz strategic partnership with an emphasis on strengthening trade and economic cooperation and interaction in the international arena.
The head of our state noted that his state visit to Kyrgyzstan in May of this year would undoubtedly give a serious impetus to the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also congratulated Sadyr Japarov on the successful completion of negotiations on the status of the Kumtor gold deposit.
In addition, the presidents exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
