Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures continue release of movies in Kazakhstan

A meeting on the development of the film industry chaired by Dauren Abayev was held at the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was attended by the heads of all key domestic companies represented in the film distribution market, Kazpravda.kz reports.

"Currently, all the necessary negotiations with foreign companies are underway. There are no reasons for concern for the Kazakh audience," the Ministry of Culture assured.

In particular, three Hollywood studios - Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures will continue to provide their films to Kazakhstani audiences in accordance with the previously approved schedule.

Domestic film distributors, with the participation of the ministry, are in direct negotiations with the companies Walt Disney Company and Sony. There are no serious obstacles to reaching relevant agreements.

The results of the negotiations and other details of the further work of Kazakh cinemas under the current conditions will be announced later, the press service added.
