When Kazakhstanis start receiving indexed benefits, Ministry of Labor reported

Information about the increase in the amount of benefits for persons with disabilities by 30 thousand tenge is a fake. This was reported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports.

“The information disseminated in messengers and social networks that people with disabilities of 1, 2, 3 categories, namely disabled since childhood, will receive the amount of social benefits increased by more than 30 thousand tenge is not true,” the Ministry of Labor said, recalling that the size of state social benefits depends on the category and cause of disability.

State social benefits for disability are indexed annually in connection with changes in the subsistence minimum. So, from January 1, 2022, the amount of disability benefits was increased by 5%.

In addition, in connection with the revision of the inflation corridor from 4-6% to 8-10%, it is planned to carry out additional indexation of benefits.

“Payment of benefits in increased amounts will be made after the Head of State signs the Law “On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Republican Budget for 2022-2024”, the draft of which is currently under consideration in the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the same time, over the past time, starting from April of this year, an appropriate additional payment will be made up to the new amount of benefits,” the ministry explained.

The department asks citizens not to pay attention to fakes and use information only from official sources.
