Kazakhstani became two-time Asian champion in women's wrestling

Kazakh athlete Zhamila Bakbergenova became the champion of Asia in women's wrestling, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to Olympic.kz.

The tournament these days takes place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Meetings among representatives of women's wrestling are held in a circular system - athletes hold four meetings in their weight category.

Kazakhstani Zhamila Bakbergenova, performing in the weight category up to 72 kilograms, defeated all her rivals and thus became the winner of the continental championship without reaching the final.

Zhamila managed to overcome such strong rivals as Davaanasan Enkhamar (Mongolia), Svetlana Oknazarova (Uzbekistan), Nikki Nikki (India), Sumire Niikura (Japan). This is the second gold medal of our girls.

Recall that on the first day of the competition, the gold medal of the Asian Championship went to Zhamila's twin sister Madina Bakbergenova (68 kilograms).
