Person who reported bomb in PSC detained in Karaganda

Today, March 31, in Karaganda at 09.00, an anonymous message was received on telephone 102 that an explosive device had been planted in the building of the public service center on Mukanov street, Kazpravda.kz reports.

"The operational duty officer of the Karaganda Regional Police Department sent all emergency services to the scene. 31 people were evacuated from the building of the auto PSC. During its inspection, an explosive device was not found," the regional police department informed.

In the course of operational-search activities, employees of the department for combating extremism of the Regional Police Department identified and detained a suspect - a 29-year-old man. He made a confession. Physical evidence was confiscated - a cell phone. An investigation is underway.

On this fact, a pre-trial investigation has been launched under article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which provides for a sanction in the form of 5 years in prison, the press service of the Karaganda region added.

Also, in Nur-Sultan and Almaty, a number of objects received false reports of planted bombs today.
