Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting on the digitalization of land relations, during which the issues of space monitoring of the use of agricultural land and their digitization were considered, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Speaking with a report, Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeev said that the introduction of an improved version of space monitoring of agricultural land on the basis of JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” is currently being worked out.

A “land inspector's office” has been created, which will allow detecting signs of irrational use of land plots based on a comparative analysis of data from various sources and automatically respond to such facts. This platform is planned to be launched in the summer of 2022.

Taking into account the refinement of state control methods, this year it is planned to quadruple the area of unused agricultural land returned to the state compared to last year: in 2021, 1.3 million hectares were returned, and at least 5 million hectares are planned in 2022.

At the same time, the minister noted, the effectiveness of space monitoring will increase after the completion of the digitization of all agricultural lands. It is planned to complete this process in 2024.

The Prime Minister supported the voiced approaches and instructed to speed up work in this direction.
