Vice-Speaker of the Majilis Pavel Kazantsev, while considering information from Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov on the results of consideration by state bodies of citizens' appeals received by Majilis deputies, expressed hope that the results of the meeting would be of real help to the population, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
He recalled that from February 17 to February 26, 2022, the deputies of the Majilis visited the regions of the country to explain the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State.
1,600 meetings were held, covering the population of more than 40,000 people. Meetings were held not only in regional and district centers. The priority was given to remote settlements, including those from which the citizens’ appeals were received in recent months. The main emphasis was not on mass events in large halls, but on open communication with various target groups.
“There were meetings with deceived equity holders, large families, people with disabilities and parents of special children. The deputies of the chamber held about 500 personal receptions of citizens, with a total coverage of more than 3,000 citizens. About 700 problems were solved on the spot. It should be noted that many of the problems of ordinary people are not so complicated. They lie on the surface. Many questions arise because of the elementary underinformation of the population. Well, for example, elementary consultations on obtaining social benefits. We listened to the person - consulted on the spot - called the relevant government agency - clarified the details - the person thanks for the decision. Or clean the snow in the yard for the elderly lonely people. Or the issue of attachment to a medical institution,” said Pavel Kazantsev.
He stressed that these meetings revealed many problematic aspects related to various spheres of life: the economy, the banking sector, the shortcomings of the education system, gaps in medicine, the difficulties of rural life, opportunities for youth development, unresolved cultural issues, environmental problems and much more.
Pavel Kazantsev noted that a single set of problematic issues was sent to the Government for resolution.
“The population subtly feels the trends of the current moment, people want changes for the better. Therefore, we do not have time for state PR, imitation of activity, personal self-promotion. We need real action. Indifference and inactivity are now unforgivable. (…) I hope that the results of our meeting today will be of real help to the population. To speak, to discuss, not to decide in the end, and in the end to forgive ourselves - this is not for us today,” he concluded.
