Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov arrived on a working trip to the West Kazakhstan region, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the region, the Head of Government visited a number of industrial enterprises, social and infrastructure facilities.
The day before, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the Government and the akimat of the West Kazakhstan region to immediately take all necessary measures to repair roads in the region.
In this regard, first of all, Alikhan Smailov visited the section of the Podstepnoye - Fedorovka - the border of the Russian Federation, connecting 50 settlements, where a total of 94 thousand people live. The road leads to the Karachaganak field, and is also a transit corridor to Russia.
Currently, the route is in an extremely poor condition, while tens of thousands of citizens of Kazakhstan and other countries pass through it every day.
“The state of roads is one of the most problematic issues in the West Kazakhstan region. This year we must complete the main part of this work. These projects, started three years ago, were not completed due to lack of funding. This year, 15 billion tenge is provided for the reconstruction of roads. But if the technical possibilities allow to accelerate the pace of work, it will be possible to allocate additional funding. When clarifying the budget, we specifically allocated 6 billion tenge for the reconstruction of the Podstepnoe-Fedorovka-Russian border road. The company "KazAvtoZhol" has started work. The repair of this road must be completed within 2022-2023,” said Alikhan Smailov.
The head of government instructed the regional akimat, together with the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, to keep this issue under control and ensure effective disbursement of funds.
Further, the Prime Minister visited the enterprise for the production of vegetable oil and meals LLP "Poyma May Combines".
The plant employs 135 people, and its products (about 50 thousand tons per year) are in demand not only in the West Kazakhstan region and neighboring regions, but also in Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
The enterprise, which received state support for 2.8 billion tenge, takes an active part in the implementation of the price stabilization policy through the “turnaround scheme” mechanism, thanks to which it was possible to significantly reduce the price of vegetable oil for the population.
“As you know, the Head of State pays special attention to ensuring the country's food security. In this regard, systematic work is underway to saturate the market with domestic agricultural products. First of all, socially significant food products.
In the issue of providing the market with sunflower oil, measures are being taken to supply processing enterprises with raw materials. As you know, for this, quotas were introduced for the export of sunflower seeds and sunflower oil itself,” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted.
The next point of Alikhan Smailov's working trip was the school-nursery-kindergarten complex No. 18 for 300 children. The complex was launched as part of the elimination of three-shift training.
The Prime Minister noted that the Bilimdi Ult National Project provides for the necessary measures to ensure the availability and quality of education.
So, in 2021, 534 kindergartens were opened. For the construction of 138 schools in 2022, 104 billion tenge were allocated from the country's budget, including 1.9 billion tenge in WKR for six schools.
In addition, 1,000 schools will be modernized in the republic in 2022, including 63 schools in the WKR.
“At the same time, there is a large queue in kindergartens in the region - over 11 thousand people. There are six emergency and three three-shift schools. Funds for the state order for additional education have not been allocated. The akimat needs to quickly solve these problems. Open private kindergartens. It is necessary to ensure the allocation of funds from local budgets under the state order for additional education,” the head of government emphasized.
Further, Alikhan Smailov got acquainted with the activities of the Ural Greenhouse Plant LLP, whose design capacity is 3 thousand tons of cucumbers and tomatoes per year.
The enterprise was launched thanks to state support for 5 billion tenge through KazAgro NMH JSC. As a result, greenhouse production in the region doubled.
“Greenhouse complexes play an important role in the provision of vegetables, so we are interested in increasing their number. To this end, significant funds are allocated to subsidize construction and maintenance costs. Here I want to note the importance of the work of the Ural Greenhouse Plant, which is one of the largest enterprises in the west of the country. It is necessary to make efforts to meet the needs of not only your region, but also to enter the markets of neighboring regions. The potential in this direction is great,” said Alikhan Smailov.
After that, the Prime Minister visited the furniture factory Kvant LLP, whose products is in demand both within Kazakhstan and in foreign markets, in particular, in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
As part of state support, the enterprise took advantage of soft loans at 6% per annum for the purchase of innovative equipment. This allowed the factory to consolidate its position in the market and increase production.
“The needs of the domestic market are growing every year. The potential for the development of the industry is great. Within the framework of the Economy of Simple Things program, entrepreneurs can receive preferential financing, so domestic manufacturers of furniture products need to actively use this opportunity,” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted.
