Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Shamsha Berkimbayeva, Kazpravda.kz reports.
“It is with great regret that I received the news that ex-Minister of Education and Science Berkimbaeva Shamsha Kopbaevna passed away today.
She began her career as a rural teacher. Over the years, she was the director of the school, the secretary of the Party Committee of the Almaty region, the deputy minister of education, the first secretary of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan, the head of the education department of the Almaty region, and also a deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. For many years she was the rector of KazNatsZhenPU.
Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Academician Shamsha Kopbaevna made a great contribution to the development of education and science in our country. Shamsha Kopbaevna paid special attention to the development of rural schools and the creation of conditions for supporting gifted children.
During working meetings, Shamsha Kopbaevna always shared her experience and advice with me, always followed the innovations in our field.
I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Shamsha Kopbaevna," the head of the Ministry of Education wrote on Facebook.
