President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev held a number of meetings with the participants of the 28
th meeting of the foreign investors Council, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the Akorda press service.
During the meeting with the Citigroup CEO James Coles, main directions of the Council’s activities were discussed, as well as Kazakhstan's key plans for further development, including implementation of the five institutional reforms.
Nazarbayev noted the importance of the company in our country and praised its part in the Foreign Investors Council.
"We appreciate the cooperation with such large conglomerate as the Citigroup. want to note a very active work of the company in Kazakhstan, also the potential for its bigger involvement in the economic development of our country, " he said.
In turn, Coles thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the created conditions in the country for foreign corporations’ investments.
Besides, Nursultan Nazarbayev, met with the CEO and President of the Cameco company Tim Gitzel to talk over the development of uranium mining industry in Kazakhstan.
With the CEO of Glencore International Ivan Glasenberg , the company's participation in the development of Kazakhstan industry was brought up, as well as its plans ahead.
